Multi-Unit Day Spa Owners Receive National Recognition for Excellence in Franchising from the World’s Oldest and Largest Franchising Association
DENVER, Colo. - The International Franchise Association (IFA) has named Aaron and Danielle Katzoff, multi-unit owners of Spavia Day Spa’s in New Jersey, Connecticut and Florida, as 2024 Franchisee of the Year honorees. The Katzoffs were recognized at the 65th IFA Annual Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada, for their exceptional leadership, dedication to guest experience, and contributions to their local communities.
“We are incredibly honored to be recognized by the IFA alongside so many outstanding franchisees,” said Aaron. “From our time as guests and with each new day spa opening, our journey with Spavia has been deeply rewarding. This recognition is a testament to our incredible team’s hard work and dedication to providing the best possible guest experience in the wellness space. We’re eager to grow alongside the brand, mentor other driven franchise owners and continue making a positive difference in the communities we serve.”
Aaron and Danielle’s journey with Spavia began when they were inspired by visits to the brand’s Boulder and Denver locations. Drawn to Spavia’s community-driven mission and elevated guest experience, the couple opened Spavia Moorestown in 2016, making it the first Spavia in New Jersey and one of the first locations outside of Colorado. They later acquired Spavia Guilford Commons in Guilford, Connecticut in 2023, Spavia Stamford in Stamford, Connecticut in 2024, and Spavia West Boca in Boca Raton, Florida in early 2025. They also have plans to open a fifth location in Princeton, New Jersey, by the end of 2025.
Their entrepreneurial leadership has been instrumental in Spavia’s success on the East Coast. Under their stewardship, Spavia Guilford Commons achieved an impressive 50% performance increase in the past year alone. Their ability to drive sales, increase memberships, and cultivate a strong team culture has made them standout leaders in the franchise system.
Beyond their business success, the Katzoffs are passionate about giving back. Through Spavia’s system-wide Spavia Cares initiative, they have supported multiple charitable organizations, including Go 4 the Goal, the Stamford Health Bennett Cancer Center, and the Melissa Maritoli Hogan Foundation. They have also worked with the Traumatic Brain Injury Association of New Jersey and most recently sponsored a local Islamic free health clinic, reflecting their commitment to fostering inclusivity and community support.
“Aaron and Danielle exemplify the values of Spavia through their dedication to service, operational excellence, and community engagement,” said Allison Langenderfer, Co-Founder of Spavia Day Spa. “Their passion for wellness, combined with their entrepreneurial spirit, has made a significant impact not only on their business but also on the communities they serve. We are thrilled to see them honored by the IFA.”
Franchising plays a crucial role in the U.S. economy, with approximately 830,000 franchised businesses providing nearly 9 million direct jobs and generating over $896 billion in economic output. The IFA Franchisee of the Year Award recognizes outstanding franchise owners who demonstrate excellence in business operations, workforce development, and community contributions.
