Recognition from Franchise Dictionary Highlights Spavia President’s Exceptional Leadership and Philanthropic Commitment
DENVER, Colo. – Spavia Day Spa is proud to announce that its President and Co-Founder, Allison Langenderfer, has been named to Franchise Dictionary Magazine’s “50 Women of Wonder” for 2024. The magazine’s annual recognition seeks to highlight inspiring women who are breaking barriers in the franchising industry through their leadership roles, entrepreneurial mindsets and resiliency.
The finalists for the 50 Women of Wonder are nominated by their colleagues and are selected based on robust criteria, including holding a high-ranking leadership role within a franchise, consistently empowering others in the industry, making waves in their respective business sectors and striving to create positive change in their communities.
“It is an honor to be recognized alongside a group of such inspiring and dedicated women in the franchising industry,” said Langenderfer. “This recognition reflects the support I have received from the rest of our Spavia National Leadership team, all of whom have remained dedicated and passionate about empowering our franchisees and giving back to the communities we serve. Every day, I am grateful for the opportunity to make an impact on the lives of others, whether that be through a Spavia guest interaction or by supporting spa business owners throughout their entrepreneurial journeys.”
Nearly 20 years ago, Langenderfer, alongside her husband Marty Langenderfer, created Spavia to fulfill a need for an affordable, yet luxurious day spa experience. Their vision for a neighborhood spa with resort-inspired treatments came to life as Allison led the spa design, creative and retail components for a scalable franchise business opportunity. Today, Allison’s work spans multiple departments from curating Spavia’s in-spa boutique and retail experience with world-class products to supporting the in-depth training of Spavia franchisees to ensure they are well-equipped for ownership. Allison was also foundational in establishing Spavia Cares – the day spa franchise’s annual, system-wide philanthropic initiative that encourages all Spavia owners and their guests to support a nonprofit in their community throughout September.
“Spavia Cares is a program that I hold near and dear to my heart,” said Allison. “This philanthropic initiative was created to help us push past our spa doors and help address the needs and wishes of the communities serve. It’s inspiring to see the impact Spavia has had through the program. I am thankful to be a part of this initiative and to see the difference our franchisees and guests continue to make.”
Spavia has successfully opened nearly 60 locations, with plans to establish 200 locations within the next decade. The resort-inspired day spa franchise has situated itself in both metropolitan areas and smaller neighborhoods – highlighting Spavia’s desire to reach various consumer groups and provide guests with the spa’s luxurious and rejuvenating treatments. As co-founder and president, Allison has played a pivotal role in leading the Spavia National Leadership team and its franchisees, all of whom are dedicated to redefining and reinventing the neighborhood spa experience.
