In September, we focused on caring for others and our communities. This month, we are shifting focus to how we can communicate more with our loved ones who may be struggling mentally. One way is to start your morning off by checking in on someone without feeling the pressure to apologize for how long it’s been or make a plan to catch up soon. Just something simple like, “this made me think of you” can remind those you care for that they’re important enough to cross your mind from time to time. Any type of communication, whether that's through the phone or in person, is key to showing them that there is someone out there who cares.
