Spavia {LOCATION_TITLE} wants to lend a helping hand so that you can show your gratitude to those you love and look up to. With the effects from last year, 2021 may still have posed challenges with your work life, health, and separation from family and friends. Some relaxing downtime at Spavia is an extra special way you can share with those you plan on reconnecting with for this year’s holidays.
With November being a perfect time to show gratitude and appreciation for your family and friends, it may also be a time to do the same with those who sacrifice daily to keep your loved ones safe, healthy, and educated. Our holiday offers will provide special ways for you to give thanks to your firefighters, healthcare professionals, teachers, police officers, etc. because our local heroes need some relaxation!
The gift of spending time together at Spavia is one way to reconnect and give thanks! Let’s also remember to cherish the time together and have fun as we celebrate Thanksgiving Day!

Favorite Thanksgiving tradition:
“I grew up on a farm and every fall we go apple picking. Instead of pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving day, it is tradition to make a homemade apple pie from the apples we harvested. It always reminds me of home, where I grew up, and it's delicious!”
Natasha Daniels, Spavia Massage Therapist Educator
Favorite Thanksgiving Tradition:
"My favorites are when my family and I always say what we are thankful for after we pray over our Thanksgiving meal and I always make mac and cheese, collard greens, and cranberry sauce."
Colleen Sawyer, Spavia Marketing Director -
Favorite Thanksgiving tradition:
“My family has a tradition of watching a movie together after dinner on Thanksgiving evening. Since we were not together last year, we watched the movie virtually through video chat. We started the movie at the same time, so it was like we were all together!”
Melanie Caswell, Spavia Operations Manager -
Favorite Thanksgiving tradition:
“My favorite thing to do on Thanksgiving is definitely cooking. I have been making Thanksgiving dinner since I was 16 so I can't imagine not cooking for my family and friends! I have a great universal Thanksgiving butter recipe”
Jessica Hartman, Spavia Services Director -
Favorite Thanksgiving tradition:
“I think our favorite tradition is actually our Friendsgiving. We don't have family close by so we celebrate our friends who have become family! We have our close friends over - set a dress theme ( everyone wears plaid for example ), do a non-traditional 4-course meal with fun drinks to open, palate cleanser, dessert drink, and end the night by playing a new board game!”
Siera Griffin, Spavia Marketing Intern -
Favorite Thanksgiving tradition:
“Two years ago, my family and I started cooking crab legs in our backyard to eat for our main Thanksgiving course and it has now become a tradition. We also love getting the corn hole and football out so that we’re outside most of the day!”
Gifting a Spavia {LOCATION_TITLE} retreat to someone special or a first responder or teacher goes beyond the act of giving - it is a gift designed to provide health and wellness, something that holds a special kind of value today. So, start off the holiday season with a heart of gratitude and purchase one of our special holiday gift card offers to brighten someone's day!
